On a lighter note...

I've just fully realized that our album actually comes out tomorrow. That's really exciting. Today, we're filming our first music video, which is a process I had never even thought possible. Watching people film in double time is amazing! The video is for Firecracker, which I've decided is my favorite song on the record, along with Real Live Version (a song written for Judee Sill-it's supposed to sound like that) and Blood Red Blood. Or at least those are the songs whose outcome reached their initial intentions the best...

This Friday we start our tour, which continues for about five weeks, a daunting prospect but fun nonetheless. It's interesting, this process we've been going through recently of having to bring the songs from the record into the live set. It was nice doing a bit of experimenting with sound when making the record, but I suppose the trick is figuring how to give the songs an equal amount of live energy as their counterparts. At least in Austin and New York, we have Tosca on our side and that's never a bad thing!

Hope to see you soon.

Haha! Fantastic! I thought I'd checked the tour schedule earlier & didn't see you guys coming anywhere near me, but you're coming to Atlanta, which is close enough.
Let us know when/where we can see the music video, I can't wait to hear the new stuff. I've gotta say thanks for adding the Atlanta stop to your tour, I just missed your Athens, GA stop & it'll be great to finally see you guys live.

Can't wait to ge thte album tomorrow.

Hey, I notice you're not hitting Chicago on this tour. I've seen you a few times in Chicago and was wondering why we're getting skipped. Did you feel you've been through town too many times recently? You don't like pizza? Anyhoo, hopefully you'll make it here soon. Have a great tour!

I've meaning to see you up in NY for the longest time but I haven't had the chance to form my visiting schedule around certain concerts-- I may have to settle for your show down here. Now I just have to worry about where; Tampa or Orlando? That is the question and believe me, I'd go to both had I been rich enough to afford all that gas.

On an even LIGHTER note, I'm going to do something mildly illegal tomorrow if I don't receive that album. Mark my words.

I'm digging the new stuff and I'm stoked to see that you guys are coming back to the GAMH. I saw you play there last time in November, and it's even cooler that you're playing my alma mater (UC Davis) for free the following day! Might just have to "call in sick."

Seeing you in Montreal, it's so soon! I'll be the underage emo kid dancing like a spaz and singing along at the front because your music makes me feel like that.

I'm getting the fold-out collage from the album blown up poster-size for my room, but I'm waiting until the show because I want you to sign it.

You are talented, Voxtrot is my favorite band, that is all.

(PS: Click the link to my site, I made a Livejournal layout with your lyrics and pictures of you & Jared. I hope that's not creepy.)

Oh man, you guys ARE coming to Atlanta! My prayers are answered. I will be there with bells on. (Not literal ones.)

Just wanna say that the new album kicks ass and I really enjoy your blog posts.

(Seriously, the news that you guys are coming to Atlanta made my friggin' day.)

I can wholeheartedly tell you that your Album, in my humble opinion, is the best release since Radiohead's OK Computer changed the face of how music sounds in our ears over a decade ago.

This is a brilliant record, with "Real Live Version" stealing the show and "Firecracker" beckons to be sang by mobs of 16 to 30 somethings like me, who will try and pace the chorus as eloquently as you have and with as much fervour and excitement as you allow us to share with you.

I live in London, Ontario Canada (right smack in the middle between Detroit and Toronto). I will be privileged to see you soon.

You guys were absolutely amazing in L.A. last night.
Definetely one of the best shows I've been to.
I think your music is great, you haven't released one song that is any less than perfect.
Keep up the good work.

Hey Ramesh! Hope the tour is going great. I love the new album and you guys were super great at Waterloo. Today, I'm pretending like I'm 12 and silly, so I'm blog-tagging you! What does that mean? It means that you have to post on your blog and tell the world 7 things that they might not know about you and then tag some other peeps. Fun, huh?!

Firecracker is a fantastic song - my fave on the album. I didn't get to hear it in Phoenix, but you opened with Kid Gloves, so no complaints. Plus, you played Your Biggest Fan, which is my fave track of all. Well done and enjoy the tour!

I just want to let you know how much I appreciate your music. Last night I was listening to music before I went to bed, pretty tired by that point, when "The Warmest Part Of The Winter" came on. I'd just purchased it on iTunes that day and hadn't listened to it yet. Suddenly I wasn't tired anymore. This may sound silly, but the song was so beautiful it almost hurt. It felt like my heart was bursting, if that makes any sense. All of your songs are incredible, and I want to thank you for bringing a little joy into this world. I get really frustrated sometimes when I think of the state of the music world today, but true musicians like your band have proved to me that there is still sincerity in the industry. Voxtrot is one of the few bands that I'm truly excited about.
I bought the CD today and listened to it once already and love it. I'm sure it gets better and better with every listen.
Hopefully you'll play again in Austin sometime soon so I can see y'all play.
Good luck with everything!

weee i bought your CD the day it came out, haha. i never do that either. but since ive gotten into you guys i decided it was worth it. i definately love the cd, and coincidently firecracker is my favorite song on the album as well. thus far it hasnt left my car haha. and i really wanted to see your guys at UC davis on may 31st but im a lowly high school student and none of my friends wanted to skip school, and the ones that did refused to give me gas money. and it would be no fun to run out of gas all the way in davis. bummer. =[
